Welcome to all our new intake either from Welford Nursery or other settings.
From the start the staff have been very pleased with how quickly the children seem to have settled down. The have been learning the Reception Routines including The School Rules...
We have explored these in Circle Time and the children are showing respect for each other, adults and the resources. They are Ready to learn by sitting properly, holding pencils correctly, sharing equipment fairly and by looking, listening and sitting sensibly on the carpet.
Our Baseline assessments have informed us that there is a sound basis for Number work and Phonics is an area to be worked upon. So we have our daily phonics sessions including a Dough Disco warm up for our fingers
and homework everyday for letter formation.
Our new topic about Friends gives lots of opportunities to develop kind, thoughtful and caring Characteristics of Learning towards each other.
We are looking forward to another FANTASTIC year in a GOOD school. Its Official - OFSTED said so.
