Reception New Topic - Potions

This new, book based topic, has really captured the children's imagination. The thought of magical characters in books creating potions for all sorts of wild and crazy spells has really got them talking, writing, role playing, adding up ingredients and being extremely creative.

The children love the Magic Potions Shop...

We've been reading lots of magical books.

 

Children have been making weird and wonderful potions and writing about the wacky ingredients … bats, frogs, rats tails, unicorn horns, princess hair, phoenix feathers, maggots etc etc.

 

 

 

We have been adding up the ingredients in our potions...

And creating wands...
